When we moved into our home we knew immediately that a few of our bathrooms would need some remodeling. They came stock with carpet in them - gross! The day finally came where it had to be done. This bathroom is our main floor powder room between the kitchen and dining room.
After a little bit of demo we ripped up the nasty carpet and began sanding down the glue gunk from the mirror on the walls. The first step was to tile. Tiling was a lot easier than I expected. You need a wetsaw to cut the tile a cement board to screw down to the floor to ensure a level ground, and mortar/grout.
We had to wait about 4 hours for the mortar to dry before we could add the grout. You can also see we used 3/16 spacers to create a nice area for the grout lines.
After the grout dried we were able to paint with Sherwin Williams Virtual Taupe
Finally, we bought a pedestal sink, lights, a waterfall faucet, and a couple of decorations to finish things off. I LOVE the updated look!
